Shoes wise you could go for the exhustar black but quite honestly I don't think the shoes are going to get you pulled up as it's the bicycle itself in which case you're going to be in clips and straps so all good. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EXUSTAR-E-SP705-TOURING-CYCLING-SHOES-SIZE-46-/391829015170

My mate has a nice Moser, unrestored plus most of the parts, PM if interested and I'll get pics and prices.

I reckon you will be fine with Black Plimsoll's - that's what I usually wear.

Thanks for the replies.. glad to hear the black plimsolls can do the job I'll go that avenue I think as cheap but also look fine really. I guess try and find so with a decent enough sole otherwise it'll be a sore day!
That frame is beautiful, and just about perfect anyway but sadly about double the top budget of what I was after. Definitely looking for something cheap and cheerful that I can build, ride and resell after. I think my n +1 is at its limit right now, at least certainly in my girlfriends eyes it is!
Ideally keen for something 80's and road but open to alternatives. Moser sounds promising, again depending on how much he's looking for?
Cheers

I could offer you the Hibbel shoe in size 10 UK in black if you want. Perfect for eroica races and only 5 times used.

I have an early eighties Belgian Ventura frameset (size 56 I believe). Chromed rear seat- and chainstays, headtube lugs and front forks. Condition is ok but ofcourse not NOS.
I am looking for 135 € shipped. If you need a complete bike, just ask.

I'm looking for a reasonably low budget eroica build, have most components lying around here but need to source an appropriate frame. Whatcha got?? Anything 56-58cm would be great. Its for the eroica Gaiolie later this year.
Also need some shoes I guess, i'm Uk 10-11. Again, cheap please. Alternatively do we reckon I could get away with some black plimsoll style things? I remember reading they are very harsh on authenticity, but perhaps its relaxed a little as the brand has grown and become more popular. Either way, any help/advice much appreciated.
Cheers, james
