  • That reminds me of a similar, but worse looking Sekonda I saved up for in the Benson & Hedges catalogue around 2000. I was the only person saving the points cards and everyone smoked Benson back then, so it made the 5 million points or whatever it was attainable. When the battery ran out I got my dad to have a go at replacing it. He couldn't get the case back on, and decided to use a hammer to gently tap it back on. Keeping in mind that the glass was domed, can anyone hazard a guess as to what happened? I thought it was fucking hilarious! It became a bit of a family in-joke as he was usually supremely handy. RIP you glorious bastard.

  • You can buy this one off me. Keeps time beautifully.

  • yes I love Omega me!!

  • That's hilarious :)

  • We must have similar Dad's and upbringings, maybe. We collected Marlboro silver foils. I got myself a Fossil dress watch (the company had just started back then). Battery went flat. Dad squeezed the case back on with a set of water pump pliers. And guess what happened to the crystal!

  • I know. I'll use the car. #DadBrain

  • Guy beside me on the bus has an insanely large diver on. Can't work it out from 4ft away. Ridiculous deep case, maybe 18mm deep, probably greater than 45mm across. Gun metal titanium brushed grey colour case. Black face with small red brand, white text underneath, what looks like a small number of horizontal lines like a gauge on the left. Crown is on the left instead of right side. Black silicone band with two ridges. No chrono, red second hand.

  • SARB033... Can't. Stop. Looking.
    Fuck it, I'm getting one.
    Not too formal?

  • Sarb017 is my next Seiko I reckon.

  • If it had a screw down crown and didn't say "23 Jewels" in that gash font then t would be perfect.

  • Helson gauge steel with power reserve? They used to do a brushed titanium model...

    Stunning watches.

  • I feel a bit uneasy spending >£250 on something I haven't even tried on... Even though is smaller than the SKX and has curvy lugs... Argh. I'm also wondering if it's a bit of a dad watch...

  • I'm pretty sure LFGSS is a dad forum nowadays

  • It's isn't often compared with mums net for no reason...

  • no truer word said. i'm someones dad and she's now nearly old enough to buy me a pint.

  • I need to get my SKX serviced. Worn for 7 years straight and has been used for actual under water stuff with some regularity so could use some new seals and a pressure test etc... Somehow still keeps perfect time tho. it's more sentimental value at this point. Assuming Alsal is the answer for that?

  • Haha brilliant!

  • I'd buy this if I knew my way around the guts of a timepiece...

    I love O&W watches...

  • I dug this up in my garden this morning.
    Old Raymond Weil?
