  • Nice. I think with those forks and that headset, silver will work best though.

See the recommendations for silver ahead above, Condor also do decent silver ahead stems, and seatposts, for reasonable prices.

I guess if it's a beater you don't want it to look stunning, but it's a nice frame you want to do justice to!

  • Awful cockpit is awful.

Don't worry, there should be plenty of German lesbians in town next weekend you can sell the bars to :)

  • Sooner or later track bikes with euro touring bars will be the new niche fad ;)

  • Alloy
    Nitto ui-252

    Steel
    Nitto ui-12 or CT-5

  • That Nitto ct 5 .. rad

  • Threw on some compact cranks I got off ebay because a) will be doing some hilly stuff next weekend and b) I'm old and unfit and never used the 53/39 fully anyway. Heel rub worse than expected, any tips for anodising sort of shoe polish stuff?

  • Didn't mean it to come across as cheeky. :)

  • Go to an anodizing firm and ask them. There is one out in VF. Bodycote I think their name was.

  • Lovely. Compact ftw #spintowin

  • If 25.4 is enough for your purposes, steel GT stems come up on ebay for $30-ish pretty regularly, and look as nice as any current ones imo (some even have an integrated steerer bolt)

  • What about the ITM titanium?

  • cheers, found that already but am a cheap bastard and not in the uk.. looking for other options first!

  • CAAD2 arrived yesterday, threw my flite on and gave it a clean. Need to put my 3ttt chromix on, and lower the seatpost a little.

  • Tarted up the smashy smashy with some ratty bling, 75's courtesy of @c4shr. Might be done for a while. Maybe.

  • If you want a colour coded beater, I have an MBK Super Record in yellow / orange.

  • that does a bit too big for you innit with that saddle position

  • It is just a bike I have picked up in France and has not been sorted yet.

I'll bring it back to London next week and service it.

    It is my size!

  • Got a real soft spot for the mbk's of this era. The frames I've seen are generally built with a care and skill that you wouldn't expect from the tubesets used.

  • Carbon road forks...

Worth it to pay for Enve 2.0? Or Columbus Futura just as good?

I've never really got on with the Lynskey sport Alu/carbon fork that came with the bike so looking to try something different.

  • Enve 2.0 for the shortest axle to crown on the (carbon)market.

  • New SMP, Mavic stem and countryboj's Nitto drops

    full no carbon

  • My Cervelo is finally built up my LBS. I'm genuinely happy I decided not to paint it before the initial building and fitting, as there are two small but annoying issues (not mentioned by the seller obvs...) - loose FD hanger and a bit worn left chainstay dropout. Both fixable but it will take more time :(

I'm really happy with the weight. It's 7.6kg, without bartape and bottle cages. That's 2.2kg lighter compared to the previous build on Rychtarski frame. It also has the wrong seatpost on and I photoshopped the handlebar height as it's installed much higher right now.

  • beautiful, just needs some matching tyres ;)

  • Thanks Jaap
    And MAX forks

  • <3 fave stem
