• i have some stuck powercranks. look up what these are, i don't mean power-ometer cranks like srm. i bought these in a desperate attempt to recover from an injury and promptly got them stuck on the frame by rounding the special alu bolt that makes these work. they were expensive, will need some research, but if you can get them off you can have the frame they are attached to. msg me, welcome to come and check out problem.

  • I reckon pictures might help...

  • I'll give it a crack. Pm

  • if you can get them off

I'm sure you've thought this one through, but on the off chance you haven't, you are more likely to get a removal that's non destructive from a reputable shop than an internet stranger who's interest is in a 'free' frame whilst caring little for your spendy and weird cranks.

  • I dibsed, and even I agree. Go to a shop, to get them removed. If you're still adamant to give the frame away, in exchange for getting the cranks off, I'm sure I, or someone else here would do it.

  • Mates got the tool you need its like a big fat tuning fork wedge . Place behind crank over bb spindle and hammer it in . This will push the cranks off. 30 min job if it goes to plan .

Mist old school bike shops will have one

  • They are spendy, for what is essentially some lesser than normal cranks fitted wrong.

  • cheers everyone!

  • You can pick one of those tools up for under a tenner. You just need to look for a ball joint splitter

  • It was just the job for me. I used mine to free a crank which had the threads stripped out and I couldn't use a puller. Works really well but can make a mess of the BB face if you're not careful. As I wasn't. Good job that needed replacing as well, but saved a trip to the shop and very satisfying to use :-)
