Yes, was a joke.
However, I find it hard to believe (although I can't deny it is true) that some of the extensions I see add value to a home. Some houses just aren't meant to be extended. The new layouts just don't feel right and for me, space isn't everything.
Fair dos though, it obviously makes sense in a lot of cases. There does seem to be a bad case of this in the air:
1) Slap an extra room on it
2) Profit
