Is there a #testerapproved cable guide?

There's no one recommended BB cable guide because the correct one depends on the bike. The shape/size of the BB and where and how the cable go in (which effect length) all effect which cable guide you need.

The correct cable guide is the right cable guide for your bike.

Couldn't we say similar about brakes, in which case the dscbrksrdd bike has the wrong brakes.

(And canti brakes are always wrong)

If you're going long haul somewhere, and for presumably for a reasonable period of time, what is the benefit of couplers and a 'slightly' smaller bag? versus just taking a bike you own in a normal size bike box/bag?
