• I think skinny steel generally looks best with classic silver parts - Nitto/Cinelli quill stem and silver drops/risers.

    Or have you fitted a threadless headset and fork?

    If you're not sure about the headset, could it be a sizing issue? The cheap Carbolite Peugeots have slightly rarer seatpost/steerer diameters but I'm guessing that Columbus models don't.

  • It's a threadless fork with threadless headset. The NB-1 is looking pretty similar to the one I have. Frame has a Columbus sticker and takes a 27.2 seatpost.

  • Nice. I think with those forks and that headset, silver will work best though.

    See the recommendations for silver ahead above, Condor also do decent silver ahead stems, and seatposts, for reasonable prices.

    I guess if it's a beater you don't want it to look stunning, but it's a nice frame you want to do justice to!
