  • I've not done this one before, so any version looks good. Looks better to get to than Otford so will probably ride out if work allows.

  • Another gig to attend for me, unfortunately. (Still not in a band)

If I remember correctly Bower Lane is quite amazing to ride, although that was in daylight and in the other direction.

edit - actually I'm confusing it with Knath Valley Road.

  • Knatt's Valley is awesome to ride, from the top to the bottom. One of the longest continual descents I can remember near London. A total spin fest on fixed, of course.

  • Yes you would know.

Sadly all the trees in the top section haven't made it to IKEA yet so good luck with the oncoming traffic.

  • Who is doing all these gigs on Thursdays? Don't they know better?

  • Should be in for this. Even contemplating riding out. Is it a beer in the bushes special or is there an offy to stock up before the train back to town?

  • Offy by the station.

  • Unconfirmed as of yet but hopeful. Is this the one with the nasty dog at the top of the neverending hill?

  • No, the scary dog is half way up the hill on the way back.

  • I'm riding this, single speed, on Saturday but quite fancy doing Thursday as a reccy. If I come I'm bringing gears to prevent a repeat of last week's trauma.

  • I think maybe I need to put a fixed wheel on my bike again soon or I never will.

  • pondering.. will ponder extra if @fussballclub joins, see if we can get round that hairpin on two wheels this time, :-)

(or was that Kent 2, - oh sorry, it was the Surrey Five Hills - anyways would be good to see you Ludders)

  • Looking unlikely, which is a shame as I have re-dyed the mo.

  • I'm possibly in though possibly not, if so I'll be riding out and back.

@mashton if you can make it I'll buy you a train Appletiser to ease my conscience after last week's station fiasco

  • Word from mother ship is that the omens augur well.

I'll be getting the Blackfriars train, from Denmark Hill. Gets to St. M-C at 19.33.

    I'll have 22 of Campagnolo's finest.

  • In. Train out. Possibly riding back.

  • I'll have 22 of Campagnolo's finest.

Can I borrow a couple of those for Exedown?

  • I think St Mary Cray is on the Oyster, anyone happen to know for sure (before I go to ALL the TROUBLE of googling it).

  • It's zone 6, so I think yes.

  • Knee is still a bit fiddly after a lot of riding at the weekend. This means I'm gonna train out so if it plays up after 15 miles I only have 15 miles in which to manage it.

Where do we meet in Vic station?

  • @Scrabble The train leaves from the 1-7 platform area, so hang near the ticket machines around that side.

@middleofnowhere if only you had a geared bike somewhere. I'd like to see it actually, why don't you bring it along tonight?

  • Oh shit. Now you'll all bring gears and drop me again anyway.

  • Out for tonight :( Enjoy all
