Looks lush - which bb did you use now? Sram adapter and normal hollowtech or KCNC?
cheers -

SRAM adapter with Hollowtech, sent the KCNC back and got a refund.
I'm wondering if the calipers are F/R specific? BB7-Road SL is what I got.
Can't seem to fit it on the rear as it doesn't clear the chainstay. I have spacers that I haven't had the chance to fit so it might clear when those ones are on. But that I think will look naff.I am however going to remove everything and paint a rad paintscheme on it.

@hoops What grit of sandpaper should I use in prep? Do I need to use sandpaper on a raw frame or just degrease it and do primer?
-
• #57
It's already blasted (no?) so you shouldn't need to sand it. Just use a good degreaser.

Totally depends on what products you are using.
Rattle can paint will fall off soon enough no matter what you do to be honest. -

Sanded it lightly, did a degreaser, primed it and shot it. Looks OK for rattlecan.

Another cheap bb option that should work in these frames.

Interesting for sure. Buy it and report back :)

Did some backyard rattlecanning and it came out OK. Needs a layer or two of green and then matte clear on.

Opposite fade - white to green, on the stem?

Could work. With crackle?

Chainstay crackle. Now much deeper.

Started over again paintwise. Didn't feel it. Will look through stiff-up your brush and decide later.

Paintstripper just made the paint mad gooey, I think I need to go over it with a hairdryer to make it brittle so I can brush/scrape it off.

Oh the joys

stripping off paint is a ball ache, any car paint shops near you, shot blast it and take the pain away
colour wise id keep it green and black with black parts and gum wall tyres. -

Went overboard, classic Thrust behavior really.
-
• #73
Yeah, doing that would be good. I know a guy.

Which forks did you go for in the end?

Same ones that Psee runs on his. But am looking at changing them to carbon with thruaxle.
Was looking at this. But quite expensive.
