I had a bad case of mech in wheel on a steel frame a few years ago and Woodrup were able to bend the hanger back, think it was at least as bad as that. Take it to a reputable shop used to working with steel or a steel frame builder.
This happened to a mate the other day, on his old 10spd falcon. We did a really botchy job of bending the dropout/hanger back again. I wasn't sure how safe it was now - any idea how much more likely the steel is to fail now?
Anyone know if this gear hanger is salvageable?
