I did the same as a kid.
I didn't like it.
Sitting 9 abreast it wasn't possible to see anything out of the cloudy acrylic windows.
A boring 30 minutes for a 9 year old.
Would consider avoiding further hovercraft travel.
Having said that, during my tenure at The Science Museum, we were exploring one of the Museum owned hangars at RAF Wroughton, and we stumbled across Christopher Cockerell's original.
We got inside the cabin. It was dark. I was about to ignite my Bic lighter to enable us to see. But then I thought, 'It smells a bit of petrol in here........'
That would've been good......
