TBF neither GPS are supposed to be charged on the move.
I just end up using an Anker fast charging battery for the Wahoo, which charge very quickly to add an additional 40% battery in says 15-20 minutes.
It does actually charge pretty well off an Igaro D1. On the positive side (unlike Garmins), it's not bothered by the stop-start charging you tend to get from dynamos.
