Frick yeah. I was looking into getting one due to crashing my Jake the other month, but decided to go with Sutra/Rove mutant fusion.

Good luck, you wont regret this. I have the Macho Man myself and it's the best bike I've ever owned.
If you you're planning on running a drivetrain with a conventional bottom pull front derailer, you will need the pulley on back of the seat tube to make it work with the cable routing. I think Problem Solvers make one.

Very nice. My sis has one of these set up with 1x11 shimano. Really nice bike, great handling even with a loaded Wald basket.
On my cheap ass Gazelle Cross Trophy I used some square-taper cranks from the parts bin with a narrow/wide chainring, that worked out really well and keeps costs down. That just leaves whatever kind of wheels you can find, a RD and some friction shifters.

Envious. I had the SSCX version (Nature Boy) and then got Macho Man Disc (orange one). The Nature Boy was 55, MM is 52. Both fit, but the larger was better. I'm looking now to score either this (in yellow) or newer version (black/white/blue fade) in 55cm. I don't like discs.
So i got this AC Macho Man a couple weeks ago on the bay and really wanted to build it up as an all-around bike. Ive built (got friends to) fixed bikes before but have no idea about gears and where to start. So i guess starting one of these may have some useful input.
I literally got rid of all my bike parts so dont have anything to start with. However i do want to keep this build relatively cheap and really do not care about brands/condition so if anyone has any bits do offer them to me!
Here it goes!
