This wouldn't be a pub bike if it were in better condition. I don't want to pour money into it only to be disappointed in the end because the paint is poor, or find that the crack is terminal.
I'm much happier to do it up on a budget and get riding, as opposed to just looking at it.I'll try and post some decent photos of the crack/mark in question, see what others think.

One man's pub bike is another's Sunday best! Hope that the crack turns out to be a scratch or similar.
