That's all based on not being hit by any extra charges at the end though. Friend of mine leased a Passat for 3 years and when he returned every single chip was counted as a "damaged panel" that carried a fixed cost of something like £300. As every panel gets a chip somewhere over 3 years, he ended up paying an extra £3000 or so at the end. He was early though, and I think VW has changed their policy since as they got so much flak in the press here, but still shows the importance of reading the small print and not leaving anything to interpretation at the end of the lease.
