Aces. My MG man has just finished putting an LS2 in an RGV8. That has
had tremendous amounts of butchery to get the plugs in.It has independent suspension, coilovers and disks all round. It
hammers. -

It would certainly go well with one.

That's the problem.
I wanted an 850 T5, I found one, bought it, it's now the second best in the UK - the best lives in a heated garage and drives to car shows and back.
I wanted a 996 model 911, I found one, bought it, it's in the process of becoming as good as I can get it to be - again, for a car that gets used to do the shopping etc, although this one does live in a garage.
Now I don't really know what I want, an electronic DS estate not being available.
All I have are criteria - capable of fitting a couple of bikes in, powerful, auto, and I don't want to have to fix stuff this time.
To be fair the Skoda that DST posted is a pretty good shout, but it's a bit anaemic in the poke department.

Yes, of course, my flat has alloy paint, powered windows and five doors.

348s are rotten to drive.
I'll go halves with you on a 430?
You can get one for £85k or so.
I'll have it April-September, you can have it October-March.
Fair?

A time share Ferrari?
Tell me, is buying a car very much like making love to a beautiful woman?

Anyway, continuing my 90's obsession it'd have to be a 355 Berlinetta with the open gate manual.

I'm pretty sure you should always do what I say

In other news... Got a new daughter, I commute in the car and my wife wants to have something to drive during mat leave. Think that means we're getting a small suv such as a Nissan thing I can't spell or the renault version. Underwhelming stuff really.

The 850 won a design award for the built in child seat.

• #35191
You can't argue with design awards.

• #35192
I'll give you £9k

I want a car I don't have to think about.

Re the Citroen C5 wheels, that's what's on there! They are crazy light. I didn't buy the original cyclones with the car as didn't want to pay the extra 300. Easy enough to find a set in the future anyway.
Did list the the cars non standard bits?
Specifically ground cam
Very free flowing exhaust
Lightened flywheel
Short shift
Bronze jointed linkages
Solid / roller bearing wishbones
Hybrid rear arb and torsion bar setup
Plus the light wheelsIt goes very well and is hilarious above 5000 rpm. Turn in is sharp and the gear box is like the often referred to rifle bolt action.
Not bad for small monies.

Whatever you get, get something with large square openings for the doors. I'm getting a bad back and neck from contortions every time I have to put our kid in the rear facing seat. This in in an A3, deceptively low roofline.
Not sure if the sell over there, but the newish suziki Vitara turbo is a surprisingly good package. And a little different to Renault koleos/ niss quashcow -

That's all based on not being hit by any extra charges at the end though. Friend of mine leased a Passat for 3 years and when he returned every single chip was counted as a "damaged panel" that carried a fixed cost of something like £300. As every panel gets a chip somewhere over 3 years, he ended up paying an extra £3000 or so at the end. He was early though, and I think VW has changed their policy since as they got so much flak in the press here, but still shows the importance of reading the small print and not leaving anything to interpretation at the end of the lease.

Hah! Only ever seen them in silver...

Why?
Because we're about 2yrs away from high speed recharging points being wide spread. That will totally change the landscape and level of adoption.
If you've missed the tax breaks on an i8, I'm not sure why you'd get involved now.
£840/month.
