Haha - so close you can almost smell the burnt rubber. Chances are fairly good I've fucked up the measurements and will get the pushrods cut the wrong size. Erring on the side of caution, I'll give them one last measure this evening after work....
Really dreading putting the headers back on...it was an unbelievable c*nt to remove them. A ridiculous combination of removing plugs in a particular order while simultaneously juggling the starter motor.
Obviously can't remember where any of the belts and pulleys go either.
Finally made a start putting my engine back together. Had to sort the new rockers and measure for new pushrods, which meant a 2hr round trip drive on Saturday to buy a set of 12" vernier calipers and making an adjustable pushrod. Both accomplished on saturday with full on manflu.
Mild improvement in my condition had all the measuring done and the lot bolted back together. Pic of the new Harland Sharp roller rockers here....
Incidentally, there are like 18, black oxide ARP bolts holding the head on. A set of the fasteners alone costs $90! Them's some big bangs....
