  • Found 3 more mags with content, possibly more in the other stack of mags.
    will await feedback..........

    :)

  • Go for it bro & thanks for opening the time capsule and for sharing!

  • :)
Thought best to check before spamming out a few pages.

Coming from a mountain bike background i have rarely seen a couple of race links, and while this thread was started with the launch of the Gangsta V1 it's becoming more of a Brooklyn history lesson.

  • will drop some more tomorrow.

having a rummage through stack 2, loads of piccys of 4x hacking through NY, Gangsta on the operating slab, Ged the Heads SR6.
Possibly more to find in the next 40 or so mags....... :)

  • thanks for sharing! park bike with the shivers and MTX rims is so good

  • Mark Weightman who use to race downhill on his Brooklyn was rapid.

  • Jim Davage used to Race for BMW too, post Curtis, then BMW, then privateer think it was Morewood he raced, and full circle back to Curtis i think. Think it was the Thumpercross full suspension from Curtis Jim had a hand in developing, steel front end with i think a bought in Risse racing swingarm. Bit rusty on the history there :)

  • Moar time capsule from Dirty mag collection in the attic.

    Issue 74 march 2008 1-of-3

    Ged the Head !
Ged was the UK distro/importer for BMW back in the day.

  • There was also a little piece about his original FQ mini link before that. He then had one of the second generation slightly longer mini links in chrome.

  • There was a great article in mbuk a LONG time ago about BMW, shot in the catskills outside NY... where they used to test all their original hardcore bikes.
I think I still have the magazine somewhere in storage, along with a huge stack of pictures of loads of the original BMW bikes.
Mbuk also did a review of the original TMX way back when.

  • Don't know if anyone has posted it before, but this is a pretty good article...
