Change of direction, this is going moonrise to match mine, her choice not mine. Much less labour intensive, so not complaining.
Clearance wise, pretty much as expected. Brake clears nicely, chainring and cranks do not. Time to dimple!

So what technology is going to trickle down to the Isen bikes?

And magically there was clearance!

Fork painted now. Hoping to build up today, although the comedians at myhermes have delivered the bars to someone that isn't me, and none of my neighbors have it.

Test ride was a success! The lower BB and chain stays have clearly made a difference, it was obvious straight away, much more chuckable.

However, there was a bit of a disaster in that I somehow threaded the boss for the rear brake. Nothing to be done but un build, cut off, weld a new one and repaint. Considering who's it is, I dont think I'll even fully repaint, especially as the brakes are hidden by the cranks anyway.
Not ideal, but child being present kept swearing to a minimum....

This is a gem!
Colour match the helmet though. And can she wheelie yet? -
• #473
No, she's a bit 'conservative' on the bike. Her younger sister is much aggier, and loves riding her bike down stairs etc etc... but this one likes plodding really. Planning on a camping trip with Ted James at some point so she can be shown how to ride by his kids.
Helmet has to stay, it is painted to match her 'best not school friend' @ad441 daughter's bike that we painted. It doesn't clash, and I hate painting helmets.

No one likes their helmets being painted.

helmet is AWESOME
Or get her to draw you a design, and then paint it exactly the same, wobbly lines and all.
