Noted, but I was already only going about 5mph as it's pedestrianised, dude on the mtb was going considerably faster. The impact threw me and the bike back a good three metres.

I can't quite picture what has happened from your description. Did the person passing you hit you or just left you nowhere to move when someone else hit you?
Can you draw us a nice picture of it?

Hope that illustrates? Difficult to know if it'll make sense to others when it's so vivid in my own head, make sense? I kept thinking over and over, he'll manoeuvre, hold your line, as I slow motion collided with him.
