Yeah this is a shame for me too. There are a lot of very talented female scientists and engineers out there but I don't see many of them in F1. I think having female figureheads can only be a good thing for attracting women to an otherwise very male-dominated industry. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in Williams for a day and see If it's any different in there compared to other teams - in terms of diversity of workforce and general attitude.

I'd like to watch the race but the C4 app doesn't have it - only commentary, anyone know somewhere that it could be streamed from?

DrakulaStream (live) or Channel 4 F1 repeat.

Maybe he was talking about the second place finnish...

All fair enough in that case, from Hamilton's point of view at least. Only saw the highlights so wasn't aware the FIA had discussed it during the race. Vettel trying to excuse himself by saying Hamilton 'braked so much' seems slightly pathetic in the circumstances.

Not to mention the attempts at completely avoiding the question.
The guy needs to grow up and acknowledge his mistake.
-
• #6233
Did you switch off before the finish? :) ......Arguably as dangerous as Vettel's reaction.
Hmmmmmm. I'm so glad that you're not biased.
Fair and even..........I like that.

Vettel has for a long time had a habit of blaming his faults on everyone else. Here it's clearly his own tardiness to blame, but as usual like a petulant child he points to LH. IMO both of them can be twats, so I don't think I'm being biased.

Telemetry says Lewis drove through that particular corner the same on all three restarts: no brake test, just let the car straighten up before accelerating. Vettel got caught out first time and let it get into his head, then made it worse by turning embarrassment into roadrage. To claim he was just driving alongside when the footage clearly shows him steering right is beyond belief.
10 second stop-go for a revenge attack is barely a slap on the wrist when drivers have had race bans for naïve racing moves.

no post race interview >>> €25,000 fine for a very disappointed Verstappen. I think it was wise Red Bull didn't force him to show up as he would have probably said nothing nice at all

Verstappen has had some proper shit luck just recently.

It might not be over for Vettel, fingers crossed

Vettel walks into the back of Hamilton, Wolff punches Arrivabene.
Calling it now.
Here we go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxIzGC0zJe0

Arrivabene substituted out for Boullier in the press conference.
FIA trying to avoid the Arrivabene v Wolff punch up? ;)

Anyone know any details of the rumoured F1 promo event on London streets tomorrow?
Looks like it was being talked about in May but not much since. TfL travel alerts just say there's "an event" on -

Courtesy of @tramp in the junction watch thread. I don't read the Sun website, honest.

Nor me, honest! it was rumoured that the closures might be for Trump coming to town until someone pointed the F1 out.

Anyone heading down the F1Live thing at Trafalgar Square later?
-
• #6246
I'm close enough to head down, decide there's far too many people and quickly leave.
-
• #6247
Indeed. It's on my way home, so gonna check the crowds, listen to some display car in the distance, and carry on my way. I think donuts by the cenotaph are off limits these days yes?

I had paddock club hospitality invite for today...
Instead, I'm being dragged to a wedding reception for couple I've met less than 10 times.

No more pertol cars after 2040 - let's enjoy the last few years of F1 as we know it :-(
Just in case anyone was wondering why Bernie sold the whole shebang to new owners - he's a clever bugger !
No brake check from Hamilton

Even on screen it just looked like he was slow away from the corner. Vettel got off very lightly, even more so given Lewis's bad luck with the head rest.
