• Yeah, this is my fear. I'm not often in the moors but would rather not have to be thinking about my rims exploding constantly. Tubs seem like a better option for hills because the sidewall isn't under as much pressure, but anything getting that hot isn't going to be good for it. I know I should just get some aluminium rims, but where's the fun in that?

  • Ha, I'm in the same boat as you! Not sure I'm willing to risk money on an aliexpress job with the inconsistencies etc but a decent aluminium wheelset is £250-500 still, and not all black...

    Check out Zuus wheels. They're around to £500 marker, UK based with a years warranty. No experience with performance though, so you'll have to do some digging
