Just spent about 3 hours wrestling these Compass tyres on to the Stan's rims. One of those tyre/rim combos you wish you hadn't started... Sealant everywhere.

New saddle too...

Are you running the tyres with tubes or tubeless?
I had Grand Bois Hetres on those rims and they were a nightmare to get on with regular rim tape. Swapped for tubeless rim tape (even though running inner tubes) and they went on easily every time.

Tubeless. Stan's tape and sealant. Was a right saga getting them on. Had a set of g-ones on before and they went on and inflated totally without issue.

Half expecting these to be flat when I go out to check tomorrow...

Sure does.. Though I'm a full blown disc brake convert by now.
Living in country with autumn-like summer days makes you glad you're not grinding your rims away every time you brake.

Oh its yours? What is it?

Hi guys, I'm looking for a nice silver quill stem and bars combo for the Rockhopper rebuild.

Stem would ideally be around 80mm long stem and drilled for the front canti cable stop.

Bars - I'm looking for a lot of sweep, rise and width, keeps me upright and gives plenty space for my daughter on the top tube seat (weeride).

Going for our first S24 adventure next weekend on it together, rebuild will be happening over winter.

The white genesis further up is mine.. the other one just looks great.

Rockhopper, can you claritfy if the stem is 1" or 1 1/8?
