Can I put 28c on Cinelly Parallax?

  • I can't find any official reference on the tyre clearance of the Cinelli Parallax frame, so I will ask here. Does any of you, Parallax owners, clear 28c tyres?

  • the rear is good even for 30c cx tyres

but the columbus pista leggera fork is officially up to 25c. I've seen a few images with 28's, but mine couldn't clear 28c conti super sport on tb14's. Though if you have narrower rims, you could mount them with like 2mm spare.

  • Thank you! I will stick to 25c in the front then.

  • That CX setup with the Enve fork is genius, by the way. Is that your ride?

  • I had 28 on mine, both front and rear. Rims were definitely Open Pros, tyres I think 4000s?

  • how tight is the front? Would you mind to take a picture? or "had" means that's not your setup anymore?

  • nah, it's not mine but it looks really nice. I ride vigorelli which shares the same fork. here's the pedalroom album

  • There should be more wide-tyres fixed gear bikes in this universe!

  • Yeah, gone for a good while now. Front was pretty tight, but still quite comfortable as long as I kept the tyre clean/free of debris. I don't remember having any major marks on the inside of the fork.
And that applies to the Bolt, Histogram and Parallax as I used all 3 with the same wheelset.

  • definitely! it goes along the lines of tallbikes, where's really no justification for those. But isn't that the real, genuine fun? here's an album of some crazy Russians on a fixed gravel ride. https://vk.com/gravelking?z=album-146494886_245829601

  • I have got a Mash Work with wide tyres myself, but I am running SS on that one.
