If you're the kind of loser who fetishes works of art by such bagmasters as Pat from PAC and Travis from Freight, then firstly welcome to the club and secondly, be prepared to add 'Sam from Tenbags' to your list.
This is premium messlife hobbytwonk of the highest order!Seriously though.. I really rate Sam's work and it's made all the nicer knowing you're supporting a real life smelly courier from London's famous London.
Buy, buy Baby.
Baby, good buy! -

I'm not in the market for a messlife bag but maybe you should pass on word to Sam to consider making custom frame bags and bar bags etc. Bikepacking is taking off and there's money to be made in custom fitting packs.
Best of luck to him -

Great to see he's back behind the sewing machine again!
You sorted a new workshop then? (not jealous at all) :) -

I got a wallet from tenbags! It's got a nice William Morris print in the lining, makes me v happy when I open it
-

he's working on the boat! the solar panels generate more than enough to power the juki.
where are you? if you're in London try building bloqs, maybe? we were there for a bit but it doesn't really work with our constant moving

I'm looking that up now! :)

i believe the v nice @tommmmmmm suggested it to me - it's a one off membership fee then about 25£ a day for the sewing machine room but there's a fairly good setup

I just checked it out. Looks to be geared more towards the fashion side of things in the textile area. They have a single needle walking foot, but looks like no twin needles or post beds.
If it was workshop spaces only where you can install your own equipment it'd be better for me, but obviously that doesn't benefit other people. :)
I shall keep looking...not giving up just yet!
Glad to hear you sewing sailors are set up though! :) -
• #13
yep. not ideal but better than nothing or cable! catch you soon pal

I'm holding out for a penthouse! :)

he doesn't quite have the space to do backpacks again at the moment so he's mostly doing other bits and bobs and slings - but i'll let you know when he gets back to it. probably about the same as for a sling give or take, you can have custom colours etc if you want

It funny that saville row tailors used to have their workshops in what was basically a conservatory on the roof because it was said natural light was the best to sew in. Until the converted them into penthouses and shoved them into the basement.

I don't suppose any of those William Morris-style wallets are still available?
-
• #19

Thanks, I'll follow this space.

I've sent an email enquiring about a custom 4l hip pouch.
-
• #22
cheers pal - he's been out but should get back to you tonight.
recent things:
mondrian sling:
boyscouts sling for me:
hip pouches:
black/sand sling for courier in LA:
coming soon: more wallets with interior print, we've got some other WM fabric that looks like this (it's called anemone) (ignore the bag, i was just messing around - but he's planning to do something better executed at some point if anyone's interested):
finally, rigorous product testing / R&D:

Thanks. Appreciate that.
Quick suggestion, you've plenty of pics of bags in situ but none of the hip pouches. I suggest a couple of images attached to the hip to illustrate size. I looked earlier and couldn't find any.

Phone pouches would be ace.

indeed.
hope it's alright to post this here, pls advise/delete if not.
my husband retired last year after eleven years on the road, and now makes bags for couriers and anyone else who wants them.
https://www.tenmessengerbags.com/ for pictures and information
you can pick colours for your own handmade messenger bag - your chance to escape from the monotony of boring black bags. at the moment, he's just doing just slings/hip pouches/wallets but he's made other things before (eg tool pouches, 159L backpacks, hip pouches which carry 4 beers, other bits and bobs) and would happily branch out... but we don't have the space at the moment. with your support, we could!
multiple forumengers have met Sam and can (i hope) attest to him being Not Terrible (so compliment, many accolade)
http://instagram.com/tenbags.ldn for photos of the bags in use (or of our cat and dog, if that's more interesting than cordura and sweaty couriers)
any questions, send me a message here or him an email. thank you for reading!
(also, the dns records for the website are still propagating so if it's not loading, please be patient and check it again tomorrow)
