It's the bi-metal strap that does it!
There are tonnes of tasteful e.g.s of gold and silver working together, but it's that solid block. Gold needs to dominate, or be an accent. The centre links of a bi-metal bracelet create a 50:50 look, which never really works.
Put that on a nice black rubber or fabric strap and it would look great*.
*other than points 5 & 6 from Soul's list.
