  • I made the mistake of getting involved.

Think another forumer might have too as there was a suggestion that one BTL commenter should 'consider driving training'

  • I did too. I blame myself

  • Enfield MH has met with a local tory councillor taking a photo of a roadie shunning a new lane and putting it on Facebook with the caption "Perhaps some instruction is needed?" Cue reams of: "run him down" "Kill him" "vermin"

  • I know the title of this thread is don't read the comments, but I always do, and I always wind myself right up.

  • Don't read the comments applies to LFGSS too...

  • Oh man, I just looked at the London Evening Standard facebook page. Every single comment on there is depressing.

  • Thickos don't realise they are thick. So they are loud too. What's not to like?!

  • In an ironic twist the comments are closed there....

  • In a just society, Theresa May would read out a statement disproving the trolling on that thread, if only for community harmony.

  • Had to stop reading as was making me angry

  • The comments made me puke a bit, in my mouth.

No, really, a bit of puke.

  • Absolutely shameful.

  • Just goes to show that thinking pretty much all of humanity are a bunch of cunts is justified by reading that

  • You couldn't pay me to live in London, poor air quality, terrorism, over crowded, solid traffic. They all look stressed and exhausted.

Last time I travelled to London town those terrorists were everywhere. SOMETHING MUST BE DONE!!!

  • To be fair to the terrorists I'd be stressed and exhausted too. Lots of work bringing death to the West. Terrible hours, risible pay, poor promotion prospects.

  • Oi, don't be slating our terrorists, you bigot

  • poor promotion prospects

Lies. The manager above you is always likely to pop his clogs.

  • Nah, it's very much a bottom-up structure when it comes to handing out assignments at Terrorism HQ

  • When I saw the comments on this story had been opened, my heart sank. But, amazingly, they are really positive and appreciative. My faith in humanity is partially restored.

  • ^ Excellent. Just lol'd at a Kellogg's Start comment. Vintage cycling advert gold.

  • Comments will undoubtedly be moderated. I'm sure they will have received a fair number of hateful ones.

  • This is going round HGV drivers' Facebook pages:

Looks a bit strange to me, the riders seem to be a different scale.

  • lol, now we're being targeted by professionally Adobe literate HGV drivers?
In all fairness theres no real reason to choose the road OVER the cycle lane in that pic is there?

Just as non starter in my opinion, HGV driver needs to get a grip. Not the end of the world mate, not even effecting him but its a new 'fashion' really hating cyclists is cool again. When my mum waled me to school on a morning she hated car drivers. I never knew why.

And as sane people we shouldn't get butt hurt but laugh at these fickle divs and their fickle games not join in tit for tat.

I do enjoy this thread tho, many cringe.
