  • Got this earlier today and I love it, 1993 Speedmaster.
Bracelet needs a few links taken out then it's good to go.

  • Cheers.

The small size was the thing that I really liked the idea of, and preferred over SNZG15.

  • All lovely, the tudor especially so. Do you mind sharing the link?

  • Just itchy chicken fingered this on ebay for the bargain price of a tonne. I'll leave the broken 7s26 for my son to quest over in 20 years time. Am thinking balck nato with black hardware; any advance on that?

An extra £400 in hipster tax by my reckoning.

  • Quick question - is it considered 'bad form' to give values of watches on the forum?

I ask because, obviously, I don't have much of an idea of prices.

  • Watches of Knightsbridge have a Tudor Sub with a guide price of 15 to 20k in their sale on the 24th!

  • Nice patina/tropical dial, especially the bezel insert. Seems hugely overpriced, though. Why is it valued so highly?

  • Rarity.

  • Yeah, what's the provenance of this particular piece?

  • Ex Marine Nationale.

  • Black Zulu with silver hardware IMHO... I've got one on my SKX009 and it looks great...

  • Is like a submariner before it was cool.

  • Don't support anyone has a SKX031 they don't want?

Thought it was worth an ask on the off-chance.

    Cheers.

  • Any thought's on this chap?

Basically I want a Seiko dive watch <40mm so I'm mainly looking at the skx013. But I've also stumbled across the 62mas modded skx031.

I feel like it's a bit pricey, but as it's already had most of the mods I'd save a bit on that. I guess it's hard not to compare it to the c.£150 for a new skx007.

  • No idea about that one, but the SKX013 has pretty much been my favourite watch since I got it. I've put it on a black cordovan strap recently:

  • There's also the Citizen NY2300 which is a similar mid-sized dive watch (my ebay search is set on that and the SKX013, they're similar kind of prices).

Edit: although I've just noticed you said Seiko so that's not quite the answer.

  • I still really want an explorer but am in no way baller enough to afford one, nor aspire to ever afford one, given my profession and likely future.

So... what do people think of this combo?

Kind of a shame it doesn't have a screw down crown, otherwise it could be do anything anywhere watch.

  • what do people think of this combo?

    A bit 2015.

Would look much better on a proper leather strap, or oyster bracelet.

From a position of total ignorance; how hard would it be to have someone make a screwdown crown? Isn't it just a threaded shoulder on the crown, mated to a thread in the case?

Or is there more to it?

  • @Well_is_it
Looks good. Have you thought about a Zeno Explorer? It's like a 36mm Smiths Everest, in fact the Everest is basically a scaled-up Zeno.

  • I'm in Switzerland. Should I buy a watch? They sell those nifty Mondaine Swiss Rail watches at the train station.

Full disclosure: also not a baller.

  • I'll second the Everest, its a hell of a watch for the money. One of my favourites in my collection.

  • Anybody else getting a hard on for a Tudor Black Bay S&G?

  • Spotted that on a giant billboard outside Victoria Station this morning.

David Beckham as the face of it >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
