I was given some ex commercial strawberry plants about 10 years ago that were deemed 'over'. They have been planted in one garden, uprooted, moved to a new garden, replanted and they are still producing. They have only started to look like they are struggling this year but that could be due to my complete lack of care and attention!
We've got strawberries 🍓 coming out of our wazoos, to quote my 7 year old.
The main bed is in its fourth year, so in theory should be past peak production but it's gone crazy. The dry spell has helped, slug and snail numbers are way down on previous years.
