    The issue of getting up and riding again isn't a confidence one. It's that no matter how well I treat my property and obey the rules, there's always some other cunt who ruins it.

    1. Bike knocked over - parked well within the confines of a motorbike bay. Van drives past, sends it flying and doesn't stop
    2. Bike stolen - parked in a bike bay 10m from a busy pub. Stolen by two kids on a scooter with the alarm blaring. Nothing done
    3. Bike crashed - doing 15-20 in a 20mph zone. Kid runs a red light and nothing I can do
  • This is why I don't even bother trying to have nice things.

    Get a dirt cheap er5 or something, anything that might break if it falls/gets knocked over will cost like a fiver to replace and what it lacks in performance will be made up in you not having to give two craps about thrashing it around the place.
