The police arrived around 11.20. The "accident" happened at 8.50 and the paramedic arrived at 9.20 and left with both cyclists at 9.30, so they were long gone.
I have the details of the cyclist (and his dad who worked around the corer), 4 witnesses, a site manager for the building site (where there are possible cameras) and the other cyclist who was hit.
I've just spoken with the dealer and i wont have a full damage estimate until early next week but it's not looking good. At least £3.5k in parts alone (ex labour) and possible frame damage (which equals write off).
I'm almost certain a court case will be required to reclaim the money.
If the cyclist has home insurance that often has a 3rd party liability part. I have successfully claimed against a padestian (through a solicitor) when I was knocked off. I did have cctv and it was clear cut.
