  • I'm selling my Cotic Escapade

It was sold to me as a medium but I believe it is a size large -the top tube is 54cm which puts it into the size large on the Escapade geometry diagramI messed that up, the seat-tube is 54cm which still makes it a large though.
Even still, this bike is amazing - I put an inline post, short stem and compact bars on it which made it rideable for me, and just came back from a European tour and it performed amazingly
Really stiff frame, the sugino cranks are really excellent and everything else performs well.
Bad points: no bar tape, brake pads are worn and really need replacing, shifting is a bit off, and the bike has trouble shifting into the largest cog, there are a few smalls chips and scrapes to the paint but no dents

I bought this bike second hand but barely used, and I've only had it for a few months, but I've bought a better fitting frame and will be selling this to fund the new build.

    I'm looking for £500

  • Price drop to £450 with bar-tape and spare brake pads now included.
Also feel free to come test it out if you're interested in buying

  • interested - have you got any pictures of it touring? how did you set it up?

also dibs on the crankset/chainset if you split

  • Hi, sadly I don't think so. My girlfriend and I brought our film cameras and it ended up being unexpectedly tough so we didn't end up taking any bike glamour photos.
I had a rear rack on, panniers on both sides, tent on top of the rack and a very full carradice long-flap attached to the saddle rails essentially sitting on its back. Otherwise no other changes. I also went bikepacking with midge-bars, handlebar roll and seatpack - sadly again no pictures.
I carried most of the weight on our tour and it felt really, really good - I think the stiffness of the tubes really came out when it was loaded up.
Like I said, feel free to come by and give it a go - alternatively I'm in central most days so could meet lunch if you want to give it a spin.

  • Sell me the chainset!

  • Comes with free bike

  • You work in the Grosvenor St area? Swear i've admired this a few times around there.

  • Don't think that's mine - I'm usually Russell sq or Lincolns Inn.
Thanks though, if its a Cotic escapade I can confirm its a great bike!

  • Would also be willing to split if I can get the frame+forks+wheels as well as the crank set spoken for.
£180 £160 crank set with bb
£200 frame, forks, wheels, finishing kit
£70 partial sora group set - chain, f+r derailleur, sti, cassette, disk brakes

Have to include wheels with the frame as I think the front has a special thru-axel configuration though perhaps I'm wrong

  • Probs mine. Duck egg blue?

  • Willing to ship the frame and wheels to Belgium?

  • Yes definitely, if the crank set is also sold

  • Dibs the frame and wheels for @hp93 if they aren't spoken for. Collection in central would be grand

  • @kingofinsania I'm going to give preference to local pickup, but will let you know if there are no local takers.
    @PhilDAS I've messaged him, cheers

  • I understand ;)

  • Ah yessir. Been keen on one myself having seen yours. Nice bike!

  • @edscoble crankset back up for sale.

  • £180 £160 crank set with bb

Super tempted, new one go for a little over £200, I need to have a close up photo of the chainset if you be so kind?

  • Very nice cranksets, those. If it was black I'd also be tempted.

  • Yes. Delighted with it. There's a story attached. (isn't there always a story😀) but it's a beaut. Say hi if you spot me. I do work in Gloucester Street as it happens.

  • undibs on the chainset, can't quite stretch to it. @edscoble all yours.

  • Possibly interested, even without the chainset. How tall are you? I'm 6"2 & wondering about sizing.

  • I'm 5''9, but this bike is too big for me, I have it set up with a short stem, inline seat post and compact bars and I'm still too stretched out. The geometry is available on cotic's website, its a size large. You're welcome to give it a go if you're in London.
There are also pictures of the crank set here, I haven't had time to give it a proper clean though. I've done less than 500 miles on it. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B4F9yK7h8G4mTTBhSlo3bW90NUk

  • I'm 5'8" and ride a small which is perfect. Not sure how this helps but I'm bored.......

42 Short in a suit too. That's how bored.....

  • hi mate, going to undibs, think this will be too big :( good price though, glws!
