I had this (large) frameset in the attic for about a year and wasn't sure if it was going to be too big or not. Since the weather has been good and I had purchased / gathered most of the parts, I have built it over the weekend and surprise surprise, it is too big.
This is the Large version, which has a 60.5cm seat tube and 57cm top tube, so will fit someone around 6ft1 ish.
I am therefore selling the complete bike.
About the frameset: The Affinity Lo-Pro is an original take on pursuit style geometry, by creating a steep lo pro frame which is fast and aero yet comfortable to ride.
A sick race, or street track bike, the LoPro has its distinctive sloping top tube and our Affinity 1 inch fork.
Specifications:
• 4130 Cro-Mo Tubing
• 700c LoPro track geometry
• Affinity lugged 1 inch straight blade fork
• Short wheel base
• Twitchy fast frame set
• 27.2 seat post
• Army Green
I purchased the frameset used so there are signs of use and paint chips here and there. It is not a new or showroom bike.
About the parts:
Brand new Dia-Compe Gran Compe SE Threaded Headset Black 1", fitted with a 5mm slim carbon spacer.
105mm ITM stem in black, coupled to BLB chrome bullhorns, wrapped in brand new camo tape. Front brake is a Campagnolo Avanti with an unbranded lever.
Seatpost is a 27.2mm carbon Shimano Pro Race, coupled to a Selle Italia Turbo saddle. Seatclamp is a sought after Thomson Elite.
Chainset is a Sugino Messenger Track with matching bottom bracket and 46t chainring. Chain is a pretty sweet KMC K710 SL Gold Track chain (1 season at HHV). Pedals are black VP565 which can take straps.
Wheelset is a used Gipiemme Pista (sealed hubs and 40mm rims) with brand new Vittoria Diamante Pro tyres in 700c x 23mm and brand new 17t Lifeline fixed sprocket and lockring.
So all in, quite a few new or lightly used parts around a decent frame.
Apart from the paint chips, it is worth noting that:
the wheelset has previously been used on the singlespeed, hence the brake track marks. The wheels are still true and there is plenty of braking surface left.
the PRO carbon seatpost bolt are rounded off so they will need to be changed at some point as they will inevitable slip.
the stem as a 26.4mm clamp while the bars are 26mm therefore I have fitted a very classy 'can of stella' shim to avoid slippage.
the pedals have slight play in them.
All in, it is a decent used ride, the frameset alone still retails at 550$ which is about £430.
I am after SOLD SOLD SOLD for £300 to @gubhi for the full bike, which I think is really reasonable.
SOLD SOLD SOLD
