Yup, a surly fork should be obtainable in America, as you're not racing, only lose a couples days of riding should it failed!

On mine what happened was the eyeless above the dropouts pulled out of the fork. The design is flawed because the eyelets have a lip but it's on the outside so doesn't prevent them pulling out. A good idea would be to procure longer bolts, a couple of nuts and some washers and bolt all the way through the eyelets and put a washed and nut on the back to sandwich the eyelet in the fork. Hope this makes sense.

That's beautiful

I think I get What you mean. So did yours fail at the lower eyelet not the mid fork one? I've plenty of spare bolts so I might be able to figure something out. Trip has been amazing so far. I ended up camping in a cider Orchard in the catskills last night.

Yeah the eyelet is a little bit of metal glued into the carbon and it pulled out. This terrible drawing is what I mean l.

I want too. But I may get the original at a bargain price and I have everything to build it up at home, soooo.

If space horse disc goes on sale at triton i might also take the plunge, just wish the fork was straight and itd be perfect.

That looks like the canalpath from the Belgian coast inward?

This is so good.
I need a Steel GT Force in my life so that I can build my AL Force into a proper carbon-clad monster... Then I transfer all the commuter parts on the Steel one and enjoy a smoother ride on Paris' Evil Paved roads.
Lovely build, lovely indeed (i do however frown eversoslightly upon flat bars....) -

Macho Man has a straight fork and similar looks but racier geo and I imagine quite different to ride. I love my 1st gen Space Horse with the exception of the shitty canti brakes. If they did a disc version with the old blue paintjob I'd be really tempted to trade my frame in for one.

buy a replacement fork
Le Manfriend's cargo and the wee man on front tandem behind it.
That saddle angle...no idea, no. Yes he's in a band :)
Specs SA 7 speed with chain tensioner, wooden platform, drum brakes :)
