Yes. In joke innit.

HHSB is about being individual, not about fitting in. That's why that geekhouse gets thumbs up from me, because it is.

Just remembered the thread, sorry for being a grammar nazi...

We're all loosers here 👍🏻

Don't think they need their own thread really. Looking back in this thread they don't actually get posted that often

"crit bikes are like hipsters, despite all their efforts for individuality they all look the same"

Crit bike or not, for most people if they see you on a fixed gear they'll think you're a hipster anyway

I thought crit bikes were just for leg shavers...

I don't think I was proclaiming their coolness. Just trying to defend them a little from the constant "crit"/cret bike label you've given them as an apparent negative label.
Sure, they might not be the most hhsb of builds these days, but some do tick more hip-hop boxes than most other race bikes out there and they shouldn't all be tarred with the same brush in my opinion.
We can all see that you don't particularly like them, it doesn't mean other people can't post them. This thread was setup as an alternative from the bike porn thread.

I like crit bikes. They have expensive shiny paint and parts. Also, no brakes. Sometimes they have gumwalls. That's a-ok with me.

Just one question, did you even bother to check who started this thread?
-
• #52971
not with those cranks

Haha. Why is that important? Does starting a thread make someone's opinion more important than anyone else's?
I've known ™ longer than this thread has been around for and I've had a few builds posted in the thread too.
I'm not unfamiliar with the HHSB concept. However, I'm quite involved with fixed gear crit racing too and just got a bit bored of reading the same put downs whenever anyone dared to post a crit bike on the thread.

It should be important. As he created this thread, he had an idea/theme in mind. Whoever choose to post in this thread, should respect his inputs, his efforts in this thread. If he dislikes crit bikes in this thread, instead of having so much negative conversation here, why don't you just start a new thread about crit bikes, where you can express your passion for crit bikes? In this case, both threads can be a lot more constructive, and a lot more fun for the members here.
crit bikes, njs bikes really have no place in this thread, as they lack both the individuality and the personal touch.
At first, I never quite get the whole idea about HHSB, I always wondered why almost my entire stable have been posted in this thread. But hey, if people like my bikes, I am cool with that. And if people hate my bikes, I really don't care, after all, it's what ever makes me happy matters.
We need more productive posts in both this thread and the bikeporn thread. Recently, both of this treads have just been so painful to read..
