Mr Anderton stopped and saw Ms Tadaj lying in the road, waited about eight minutes for paramedics to arrive and then drove off to complete his delivery, jurors were told.
Quite incredible.

on what grounds was he cleared? outrageous

That verdict has completely thrown me. Witnesses, cab video, lied about what happened.
Magda’s family must be devastated all over again.

The court report does not give much more information than was reported in the Advertiser and Sun. There is a comment from the driver's barrister saying that there was no evidence of anything other than a driver doing his job properly!

Thanks for those links, Charlie_L.
The driver’s behaviour and statements after the event are despicable.
Very sad news. My heart goes out to this poor woman's friends and family.

Very often photos of a crash scene can help us understand what happened and how it might have been prevented. In this case two photos tell us most of what we need to know.

I have not yet seen photos of the lorry but it is described as a big articulated lorry with a trailer. I suspect it wasn't fitted with the type of 'direct vision' cab that would have given the driver a clear view of the road ahead.
