They've also got the puncture resistance of a soap bubble.

A thin soap bubble.

^This picture shows a) the width and b) the 1% of the life of the tyre during which it actually holds air.
-
• #257
Nein, get the Strada Bianca instead, actually holds air, is gumwall, approx 3,000% betterer than the PR.
-
• #258
They're the same thing + 3 mil>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
-
• #259
That's absolutely untrue, the SB is all the good bits of the PR without the single massive negative of being unable to hold air for any period greater than four seconds.

Go and look at yours now- both will be flat.

Schwalbe g one 30mm is an awesome tyre. I am very much in love with mine. The only thing to get used to is that although they are fat, the compound is soft, so they wear quicker than I was expecting. No quicker than a high and road tyre mind...

Just wondering re 650b. WTB state that their 47mm horizon tyre on a 650b wheel is equivalent diameter to a 30mm tyre on a 700 wheel. Is it the width at the chainstay limiting the tyre size to 42mm? If using 42mm tyres on 650b does this mean the bike will be effectively 5mm lower than if using 30mm tyres on a 700 rim?

Love a soft compound.

@coldharbour
I see from your tyre checker post it is the chainstay. Will using 650b wheels with 42 mm tyres adversely affect handling? Trail variation with tyre size

No, there should be a negligable effect.
Clearance issues come from width. both on the frame and on the fork.

27 more "this is my frame number" posts to come.
Does anyone have a hammer I can repeatedly cock-punch myself with?

and what number are you?

• #273
and will your "friend" register to post their number?
-
• #274
I'm not a number etc.
No my "friend" won't be registering. She's more of a "look, kittens" type, than a sweet - whip - fixie - god: no swag.
Although she does check the thread periodically.

So you have to be polite
@ChasnotRobert 27c Challenge P-R measure nearly 30mm on wide rims. They're also fantastic tyres.
