What front rack's best for the Croix de Fer 2011/12 edition?

What do you want from the rack? Panniers? Flat bed for Cargo? And how much do you want to spend?

I have a 2014 croix de ver and need to replace the bodged rear caliber mount. Using a 160 disc and an avid bb7 caliper. Can anyone point me towards the right mount? Cheers!

Cargo rack, I dont mind about the money!

Depends on the forks, but if you can run on Id say the surly 24 pack, failing that the SOMA.

Bought a new frame so having to go cheap on the rack for my croix de fer, opinions on these?

Hey guys looking for a porteur rack for my Croix De Fer money's tight, and I have the forks that don't have any holes for the Surly racks..

What bars do people recomend for the CDF?

Whatever you find comfortable. Can't go wrong with Salsa cowbells though.

Got a pair on eBay, they feel great but really different, in the drops I feel like I'm spread out quite a lot. I like the new feel, why are they designed like this? More leverage?

Also I'm looking to slowly upgrade my cdf so to cut wait I'm looking to upgrade my wheelset.

Any recommendations?

Largest 700c tyres you can squeeze in a 2014 frame? 40?

Won't leave much clearance at the stays, I tried nanos, which come up a little narrower, so maybe a 38.

Heyo, I'm about to put a 2014 croix de fer up for sellz shortly (size S/52 TT). PM me if you'd like any more info. Pretty much stock setup except for new cables and new panaracer paesalas and custom hope/dt wheels.

Ashamedly haven't posted mine in here yet... fitted keo pedals with tyres pumped up to max psi and the road bikes not getting much of a look in these days.

are you all pretty happy with steel fork or do you think a carbon upgrade is worth it? in a context of a on-off/cross/Epping radness context I am sort of thinking that keeping the steel fork would be good

What mudguards and wheels are they?

I'm looking to upgrade my wheelset ?

Mine has had a few upgrades, new seatpost and stem...but most notably a new thorn fork.

Here's a picture with random flowers in the background.

*Edit: any suggestions for new bar tape and colour? I thought of dark grey newbaum's cotton tape to match the slate saddle, or maybe khaki ot match gumwalls and bottom of saddle but that seems a bit boring...I like the new copper colour too...
