If only more of the crowd had had their weapons on them. If every person carried a weapon at all times, the world would be much safer.

Most modern methods of construction use EPS, PUR or PIR panels to some extent. The only non-combustible material to use in composite panels is rockwool (mineral glass fibre) which does the same job but doesn't burn. Architects, builders, surveyors etc. have all known this for years.
It's a really horrific tragedy, I'm so sorry for all those involved.

Silica Aerogel, but their budgets probably don't extend to Spacetherm.

Working with Architects at the moment, apparently the guidelines are that you should be able to stay in the flat for over an hour - so the intent isn't to have fire alarms to alert other properties and risk a stampede. Obviously that assumes that compartmentalisation isn't compramised to allow a fast spread of fire which it seems the new cladding has made happen

It's unfortunate that Trump is tweeting about this at the minute. When you go to his twitter, it's covered in balloons as it's his birthday.

The alu-coated insulated cladding is a pretty standard solution, but I doubt we'll be able to identify the product used.

Within 2 years Grenfell Tower will have been pulled down and a new luxury tower block started to be built on the land. It will have 30% 'affordable housing', which will drop to about 5% if any by the time it's built. I'm calling it now.
OK. It's pretty difficult to get around nearby as you can imagine, will see what I can do.
