For hydro, is there decent clearance internally around the BB?
-
• #228
Oi, less of the 'artisan'. We are a fledgling evil corporation I 'll have you know.
;)
-
• #229
It goes outside the BB, the internal routing is only in the down tube.

assuming this enterprise is successful (and it's looking like that) are you planning on doing more batches and if so would you do the same f&f again?
-
• #231
would you do the same f&f again?
Next batch will be all tandems...
-
• #232
Yes, the plan is that we will be building a lot more of these. Initially we will be building the first batch, getting photos, feedback and proper undertsanding of the issues of building this many bikes at once and then going forward we will hopefully be building them pretty much non-stop.

I am now strangely preoccupied with deciding on which tyres I'd like for this bike.
I will be fitting mudguards. Planning on 700c wheels. So 30c max tyres. Not that many tyres actually come in 30c - mostly 28 or 32.
Corsa G+?
Schwalbe Pro One?
Challenge P-R?Something else?

Gravel king

Challenge Strada Bianca comes in 30mm

• #245
do they get a puncture if you look at them funny?
-
• #246
Nope - Strada B's are ready for gravel (not for glass)
-
• #247
Yep, they should go n the list. I wonder if 32s would just about fit?

Just ask @coldharbour to customise the tyre clearance

Schwalbe Pro One?
Is the correct choice.

More seriously this fits nicely into the gap between OTP and full on custom - I think you could have a winner here.
It's a great idea, whoever came up with this must be a genius.
Definitely a strong market for small batch, artisanal bike frames carefully curated and promoted to the discerning buyer....
