Yes, I had considered that, so did drift to one side making the evasive action less evasive. It wasn't even a close shave, another reason a simple hand raised from the wheel in acknowledgement / apology would have been fine. This is partly what saddens me, is some careless driving really worth jumping out of your car for and running up into someone's face...
