Stupid question, I can charge the Di2 via junction box with a battery charger can't I?
-
• #2353
If it has a cylindrical battery, yes. If it has the BTR1 that you'd normally put in a dock to charge, that kind won't charge through the junction.

by a battery charger you mean a powerbank? or the original DI2 charger?

I'm going to try and put the bar end junction box in my Felt today. Ignoring the Shimano advice and instead will be using the magic of online vides that say no Y wire and one long wire from BB to left lever will work, then join the two together.
Anyone know what size hole I need to drill in my handlebars to get the things through?

• #2356
Also, will I need to update all my firmware?
-
• #2357
Just measured the end of one of my di2 cables/connectors as 5.03mm so I would say 6mm to be able to reasonably easily thread it through.
99% sure you will need to update your firmware to use the new junction box.

• #2358
Yes you need to update firmware first.

Balls. You can't do it on a Mac only a PC.
Does anyone in London have the ability to do this?

It's not too difficult to "acquire" Windows and VMWare Fusion for Mac...

Failing that, I can lend you my laptop with it on

So how does or will ultegra 8000 integrate with Garmin 1000
Will I need to buy buttons to control the changes from screen to screen etc? -
• #2364
By a powerbank, Yup.
-
• #2365
If it's 1amp, yes

Anyone had a fiddle / seen the new Pro Vibe Di2 stem?
I want to work out how it works / if it will conceal a regular junction box.
