Alonso seems to be holding his own pretty well

Rather late to this, but finally dug the laptop out of the bag.

Just had an idea.

As opposed to grid place penalties for using too many power unit components, why not fine the teams instead?

Ultimately the grid penalties lead to less points meaning less cash for the teams at the end of the season anyway. However we still get to see great racing, as opposed to watching Button being stuck being a pair of Saubers.

I would say that grid position is more of an issue than a fine for teams like Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull.

Oh for sure, could always be something along the lines of a portion of the end of season prize money to negate that issue.

Also when will we next see someone who's happy to be second at Monaco?

Spanish Fred somewhere like 3rd but it's hard to keep track cos they keep overtaking each other. And stay awake cos of the almost constant full course yellows.

Did you see Castroneves driving under (white car just visible behind the wall above). Ended up having a piece of Dixon's car fly down and take out a winglet on his car.

Looking like it'll be Castroneves, Alonso or Rossi for the win now that one of the other Hondas went pop (surprise!)

Lewis matches Ayrton for poles (65). Massa in 7th with the normal group above him. Great quaily. One of the best.
