Spotted in camberwell
Left unlocked, flat tyre. Not sure if someone had left it temporarily or abandoned it. Couldn't stop to find out unfortunately. -

I say nicked and dumped. It's got a bike register sticker on it, not that bike register actually means anything as if you find a stolen bike (as I did once) it gives you zero details of the owner, how the hell are you meant to return them??
-
• #13254
On the other hand someone can't look up your bikes sticker and find out where you live to steal it.
Hand it to the police and hope for the best?
-
• #13255
True but owners should be able specify what details can be seen by people doing a search of a frame number to aid the recovery, even if only an email address ect.

I think the purpose of Bike Register is to help the police get bikes back to people, not the general public. Could be wrong tho

Had three bikes nicked on Sunday night from our garden in SW15. Any help in spotting them would be appreciated. Descriptions as below and pics attached...
Canyon Ultimate AL (Small) Ultegra (Red lizard skins bartape and Superstar wheels only deviation from stock)
Cannondale CAAD12 (56cm) Ultegra + DuraAce rear mech, grey Superstar hubs on PacentiSL23 rims, 3T stem and bars, Fizik Antares carbon saddle, Arundel Mandibles
Singular Kite disc, with SRAM 1x11 groupset on Fulcrum disc wheels. Grey saddle now rather than the fetching/clashing purple!
Thanks
Kieran

Ah, back in this thread again.
My wife's Planet X was taken from our garden shed in E11. Only non-stock part is the Specialized saddle. If East Londoners could keep an eye out that would be grand.

Super distinctive rear, was it locked up on the street or nicked from their house?

My friend's bike got stolen from Kingsland road in Central Dalston - opposite the Halifax - at 3am-ish on Friday night 26th May. Heart-breakingly bought few weeks ago.

My mate had his very new Raleigh Maverick Comp Cyclo X stolen on Saturday from outside the Sebright Arms, apparently is a bit of a hotspot.
It looks like this and has Shimano PD-T780 SPD's on it. If you could keep eyes out in East London that would be grand.

Where had he locked it? I live opposite there.

Declipped too is somewhat telling on a fixed cog... good spot. If it was the original owners theyd care more about security, if you'd nicked it you wouldnt be arsed if it got nicked again. Dodgy flat panel TV's too...

If anyone comes across my pride and joy, Cooper Spa all chrome fixie I'd be extremely grateful!
Stolen on Monday 5th June from inside the rear entrance of Big Chill House in Kings Cross. Thief seen struggling to ride away as it's fixed and has tiny egg beater pedals. Maybe he ditched it locally after struggling to ride it.Spec as follows:
Chrome Reynold 520 frame (57cm)
Single brake (front)
Brooks black leather saddle
Missing 1 bar end on left hand side.If you have any info or see it online anywhere please let me know asap. It's pretty rare so hopefully will turn up somewhere.
Thanks!

Saw a guy this morning riding a Van Nichols right like a right C-nut on balls pond road & surrounding area, RLJ every light, and tried to turn across another cyclist on a T junction - if that were my bike I wouldn't be riding it like that, nor would I be in trainers on ATACs either...

Long shot but my girlfriend had her brand new boardman nicked from brockwell lido on Saturday. Pretty distinctive with the saddle bags and a scratch on the left hand brake lever from the first and only time she has ridden it. She's devastated.
Anyone seen it tag me and let me know.

When I first saw this bike posted on here I thought it looked familiar, now it could be an absolute coincidence but remembered seen this for sale in the shop on John Ruskin St, around the same week, as I said it could be coincidence but the fact that shop isn't one I'd ever leave a bike in and its 2 min cycle from Camberwell, I could and hopefully am wrong but if someones trying to recover it I would head in that direction,
How was it locked?
