  • The advice you've been given here is good. There has been lots of stuff over Facebook about how the Bob Martin cat stuff is seriously dangerous for cats.

IMO go to the vet, get the proper flea/tick stuff - Stronghold or Advocate and use it every month without fail. Your cat will be a lot happier too. Also get them regular worming tablets.

As to the fleas, if you treat the cat properly, they have a limited source of food so should die out naturally. Keep vacuuming and dusting daily. The Vet will recommend something. Be wary of over the counter home sprays as some can cause allergies in people.

I remember reading in an earlier post someone was having a behaviour problem with a cat. Feliway plug in could help.

  • Yeah I won't use it again.

I went to the vet this morning. They say she's doing just fine, nothing is wrong. I can't use stronghold (which they sell) for another 3 weeks minimum. Otherwise it would be a double dosage and it might kill her. They are expecting a restock on tuesday, so I'm going back next week to get it, so I have it in my house. She get's anti worms every 2 months. I should have done anti flea more often and I will.

Vet recommended vacuuming daily for a few weeks but no mopping.

Behaviour problem of my cat is, because I only found out recently, she's deaf. Feliway might be a nice addition. Should check out the prices when I pick up the stronghold.

  • Did they mention Stronghold is also wormer, I used to use Stronghold on Patch and only had to pop a pill down her every 6 months... Worth checking with your vet if she still needs a pill every couple of months.

BTW, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Stronghold, just my current vet recommends a different brand and it's very very slightly cheaper.
