Get a UK bank account? Could always do a Monzo prepaid one which doesn't have any charges when you're using it abroad and you could get in a day or two

Banks and paypal seem horrendously expensive and xe.com is not the deal it once was.

No, I don't have a UK bank account and it's for my sister, who doesn't have a Canadian bank account.
