  • I can climb Huez faster than Pantani.

  • Coalition of cunts.

  • It wasn't his ass that came to mind!

You're still settling for second best.

  • But not faster than Paultani.

  • There's one just gone up on the guardian live blog:

    https://www.theguardian.com/politics/live/2017/jun/09/election-2017-theresa-may-speaks-outside-downing-street-after-shock-result-hunh-parliament-live

It imagine it was written a few weeks ago, and they tacked on the bit about the DUP in a hurry this morning. There's no other explanation for the level of denial in it!

  • Zing. Spot on.

  • That speech though? What a car crash. She's shown again why she is totally out of her depth.

  • This is where Federalism makes most sense. SNP has strong majorities in Scottish Parliament and as a percentage of the overall UK vote share in Scotland, and this is even when squeezed by a resurgence in two party elections and yet...

Ruth Davidson is wheeled out on a chariot for coming a very distant second because she's not quite a poisonous as she used to be and she'll now happily shout about how Sturgeon should go and IndyRef isn't legitimate when, if you applied the same standards and philosophy to her own party she'd be demanding May step down and ripping up the Brexit referendum result.

But she won't do that because she's fucking obnoxious reality avoider like her mistress in the south.

  • It's here

    "

I have just been to see Her Majesty the Queen, and I will now form a government – a government that can provide certainty and lead Britain forward at this critical time for our country.

This Government will guide the country through the crucial Brexit talks that begin in just 10 days and deliver on the will of the British people by taking the United Kingdom out of the European Union. It will work to keep our nation safe and secure by delivering the change that I set out following the appalling attacks in Manchester and London – cracking down on the ideology of Islamist extremism and all those who support it. And giving the police and the authorities the powers they need to keep our country safe.

The Government I lead will put fairness and opportunity at the heart of everything we do, so that we fulfil the promise of Brexit together and - over the next five years - build a country in which no one and no community is left behind.A country in which prosperity and opportunity are shared right across this United Kingdom.

What the country needs more than ever is certainty, and having secured the largest number of votes and the greatest number of seats in the General Election, it is clear that only the Conservative & Unionist Party has the legitimacy and ability to provide that certainty by commanding a majority in the House of Commons. As we do, we will continue to work with our friends and allies in the Democratic Unionist Party in particular.

Our two parties have enjoyed a strong relationship over many years, and this gives me the confidence to believe that we will be able to work together in the interests of the whole United Kingdom.

This will allow us to come together as a country and channel our energies towards a successful Brexit deal that works for everyone in this country – securing a new partnership with the EU which guarantees our long term prosperityThat’s what people voted for last June. That’s what we will deliver. Now let’s get to work.

  • I've known people who have spent years under a cloud of heroin and methodone and come out of it with a greater grasp on reality than May. Is this what Grammar schools do to human being?

  • At least Cameron had the good grace to leave after he fucked us. Hope the tory weasels are sharpening the knives in the background.

  • Ruth Davidson is wheeled out on a chariot for coming a very distant second because she's not quite a poisonous as she used to be and she'll now happily shout about how Sturgeon should go and IndyRef isn't legitimate when, if you applied the same standards and philosophy to her own party she'd be demanding May step down and ripping up the Brexit referendum result.

Sure, but she won the Tories a lot of seats in Scotland--where not too long ago they had one or none (can't remember exactly). To me that speaks of being a good political tactician. And what's really new about hypocrisy in politics?

  • I'm not watching it, I can't stomach the mental images I'm already getting.

  • And another recount in Kensington this evening, I'm bemused to recount.

  • We should probably get a recount of how many recounts there have been at some point.

  • Haven't the Tory cunts given up the ghost on Kensington? Thought it had already been called as Labour?

  • I though he was called Paul Nutstrong?

  • You're thinking of Paul Nutquetil.

  • Have you seen a single cabinet minister on the tv yet today?

They are laying low and plotting.

  • SNP had just 10 MP's in 2010. They went from that to 54 in six years, yes Davidson only had one MP after the last election but it's all relative and the Tories for all their negative single issue campaigning could still only scrape 25 percent of the vote. I suspect their stronger showing is an unholy alliance of older Brexit supporting Scots and entrenched Unionists of the sort that grace the DUP.

  • The other option is to call an election when they think they have sufficient support to gain an outright majority. This is what Macmillian did during his leadership and went from a minority to a 3 seat majority.
