Surely by being stubborn now, not stepping aside, and trying to engineer a lame duck minority government, May risks damaging the Tories' long-term electoral prospects even further?
If you look back at that Jon Snow interview in which she simply repeats her mantra, which is not something you can do with a journalist like Jon Snow, I think it's inevitable that things will play out approximately like that.
