Tories have written off Kensington apparently so looks like a Labour win

So where are we on Brexit? If ConDUP is a minority government, not a coalition, does that make a difference? I presume it's too much to hope that this means we have a cross party negotiation team that will work for a soft Brexit.

So did I!
Especially the Blairite bit.
-
• #3405
If you ask me, May's cleats were a bit worn.

It's also not fair for Paul Nuttall to just walk away. He can always get another FTSE 100 CEO job, but his party?
-
• #3407
is he still unelectable?
He always is and he always will be. I mean, he's not even a human UK citizen standing for election in the UK.

BBC just announced it as a win for Labour.
May on her way back from the Palace and is about to speak...
-
• #3409
That does not bring up mental images I'm happy with, Oli. shudder
-
• #3410
... and if you go carrying pictures of Chairman May, you ain't gonna make it with anyone any ... er ... way ...
-
• #3411
What the fuck was that speech?!!?!? Maybot has been reset, batteries fully charged, memory deleted
-
• #3412
Don't settle for less, go look up the actual images.
-
• #3413
Just watched her live on the steps of no.10... As if nothing had happened... Amazing...
-
• #3414
Denial and complete lack of substance.
She's shitting it.
-
• #3415
FAKE NEWS!!!

• #3417
Amazing. Almost as if the last 24 hours hadn't happened. Maybe the Queen was so furious that she whacked May over the head with a giant mace, and as a result she completely forgot about the election.
-
• #3418
Such hubris...
-
• #3419
Anyone got a link to the May speech?
-
• #3420
It wasn't his ass that came to mind!
-
• #3421
jesus. I wish I had powers of denial and the ability to avoid reality that strong. i might have been PM or something.
-
• #3422
It's fucking mindboggling...
-
• #3423
The first step is claiming that you do have those powers.
-
• #3424
Let her play act. It'll come to pass with time. She's got a divided Conservative party (over her position, and Brexit) propped up by a indefensible ally. She's only going to prolong her own misery.

Surely by being stubborn now, not stepping aside, and trying to engineer a lame duck minority government, May risks damaging the Tories' long-term electoral prospects even further?
If you look back at that Jon Snow interview in which she simply repeats her mantra, which is not something you can do with a journalist like Jon Snow, I think it's inevitable that things will play out approximately like that.
'Why doesn't anyone just take my message on board if I just keep repeating it?'
And there's the delicious irony of this whole affair.
Cameron called the referendum to quell Euro-unrest in his own party, instead of which he lit the blue touchpaper (and ran away) to the bomb that has just blown them apart.
