why should I not be grinning? of course there are racists everywhere, in all parties, but UKIP did great damage to labour prospects in a GE, now that seems to be dead, maybe not buried though
I agree hardly anyone voted UKIP this time (basically the same number as voted Green). But their ideas are very, very much still important to a massive proportion of society. I hear them all the time (I no longer live in London and I talk to a faily random bunch through work). Look how they've shaped the policy of the two main parties.
Personally I think Paul Nuttal should go back to were he came from :-]

UKIP had 3,881,099 in 2015 / when Tory had 6.5 point lead over labour
UKIP now has 593,852 in 2017 / when Tory have 2.5 lead over labour
